Gifts of appreciated stock or mutual fund shares are
a great way to support our life changing mission and
enjoy several tax benefits. Your gift of appreciated
stock to St. Vincent de Paul will allow you to avoid
capital gains tax and benefit from the immediate tax
deduction of the full value of the donated stock. The
best stocks to donate are those that have appreciated
greatly in value, particularly those producing low yield.
